Although my history with WordPress development goes back further, I’ve built over a dozen websites for films, non-profits, government and small business clients in recent years. I’ll often use a builder like Divi or Elementor to design pages and create templates, combined with plug-ins to extend functionality and work with integrations for e-commerce, email marketing, e-learning, forms, and so forth.
I created websites for the hit documentary films, The Corporation and The New Corporation, that operate as the ‘hub’ for their impact campaigns, and also for the author/filmmaker Joel Bakan, which featured his “unfortunately necessary” podcast.
Drawing Wisdom creates and distributes films, campaigns, workshops and educational resources that celebrate Indigenous resilience. The site acts as a portal to the stories that have emerged from these community projects.
Vancouver Aboriginal Community Policing Centre Society (VACPC) was created to improve safety for Aboriginal people and build the relationship with the Vancouver Police Department. I adapted the former Drupal site to WordPress, modernized the design, and incorporated new features like a site finder.
After working on the original release of the documentary, Bevel Up, about street nursing in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside by acclaimed filmmaker Nettie Wild, it became even more relevant in the wake of Canada’s toxic drug poisoning crisis. I helped create an e-learning course for nursing students, and then built a campaign site to provide access upon free registration.
