Take Back the Day

In 2008, I led a project to create a Mother’s Day tribute card campaign for Inter Pares, an Ottawa-based charity dedicated to promoting international social justice. Take Back the Day tied into the activist origins of the holiday to support women around the world working for change.

I oversaw the creative production of all the materials including the website, holiday cards and a short animated video, as well as the execution of an online advertising, social media and email campaign.

UPDATED IN 2019:
I oversaw the modernization of the animation from Flash to a native video format

Give Something Big & Emballez-vous!

Inter Pares returned to us for the Christmas holiday season, and I again managed the development and marketing of Give Something Big and its French counterpart, Emballez-vous! These campaigns featured 30-second video public service announcements (PSA) and a Flash-based “Do-It-Yourself” engine so donors could create their own animated, musical e-cards. We also held promotional online contests to spread awareness.

In addition to coordinating media buys, I ran targeted Facebook and Google Adwords advertising campaigns for both Canada and the US that helped get the Inter Pares brand to a wider audience and find new supporters. The following year, we were rehired to expand and market both seasonal campaigns.
